Amulet of the Ouroboros

The Amulet of the Ouroboros is crafted from an unknown dark metal that absorbs light, giving it an ethereal, almost void-like appearance. Its pendant is shaped like a serpent devouring its own tail, with eyes that seem to glow with an otherworldly light. The amulet emits a faint, ominous hum that can be heard only in the dead of night, resonating with the power of the void.

• Eternal Rebirth: Once per long rest, when the wearer is reduced to 0 hit points, they automatically stabilize and regain hit points equal to half their maximum hit points. This miraculous recovery is accompanied by the brief, spectral appearance of a serpent encircling them.
• Cycle of Power: The wearer gains the ability to cast the Reincarnate spell once per month without needing material components. However, this can only be used on themselves, and the character must die within the month to trigger the effect.
• Ouroboric Knowledge: The wearer gains proficiency in Arcana and History, reflecting the amulet's endless cycle of wisdom.

Curse: Cycle of Self-Consumption

• Eternal Hunger: The wearer experiences an insatiable hunger that cannot be fully quenched by normal means. They must consume twice the amount of food a normal person would, and failure to do so results in exhaustion levels that cannot be removed until the hunger is sated.
• Self-Devouring: Upon activating the Eternal Rebirth benefit, the wearer suffers a permanent loss of 1 point to a random ability score, representing a piece of their essence being consumed in the rebirth process. This score can be restored through powerful magic such as Wish or through hard work and training.
• Bound Fate: The wearer cannot remove the amulet without a Remove Curse spell or similar magic. Attempting to do so inflicts painful wounds upon the wearer, dealing 1d10 necrotic damage per attempt.
