Wondrous Item, rare
A box from a mysterious magic item company with the word ACME (Artificer. Company. of Magic. Essentials.) printed in bold yellow letters, on it is a big red button which when pressed you roll a d8
- A piano key is played and a piano falls on a random enemy dealing 4d8 bludgeoning damage in a 5 foot radius
- a clanking sound is heard and an anvil falls on a random enemy dealing 6d12 bludgeoning damage
- a load ticking sound can be heard and the box will explode in a 10 foot radius after 12 seconds dealing 3d6 fire damage to every creature in range (or instantly if effects are reversed)
- a whacking sound plays and a comically large hammer whacks any enemys within 15 feet of the box dealing 2d8 bludgeoning damage
- a locking sound can be heard as a metal cage falls on one enemy which requires a dc25 strength check to escape
- Construction sounds can be heard as a random passage way, door or section of a road is replaced with a brick wall covered in a tarp that looks like what’s behind it and requires a perception check of 16 to notice as fake however the user of the box or any alleys can recognize as fake
- a light bulb sound can be heard and a random useful utility item such as a grappling hook, glider or mount
- a load incorrect buzzer sound is heard and you roll the d8 again and whatever effect it landed on backfires and effects the user of the box and allies instead (if it lands on this again roll again but with reverse reverse effects and if it lands on this again… you get the point)
Notes: If you don’t long rest between every 3/6 uses then the joke will get stale and as punishment you roll again and the effect is always negative , Damage, Utility, Combat

Posted Jun 14, 2024Bro this is hilarious. I'm running a completely serious Greek and Norse mythology campaign and this will be in a heavily guarded mimic room (for the lols).
