Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement by a The user must be present at the creation of the amulet, or perform a sacrificial ceremony to transfer the amulet to themself. The amulet is then bound to them and cannot be removed from their person except on death or if someone else performs the sacrificial ceremony. )

A fist sized amulet made of black metal and a clear diamond.

The diamond has the terror twisted faces of the sacrifices manifest on the facets of the stone. For each soul inside the gem, you are able to concentrate on an additional spell at once. The amulet is always the first to roll for concentration, and does not gain any bonus to its save roll. If you are hit for 30 or more damage from a single source, it is an automatic failure.
Upon a fail the soul in the gem is expended, causing you to take 1d12 Necrotic damage per spell level of whichever spell it was concentrating on.

The number of souls the amulet can store is based on the quality of the gem used in its creation. [500 gp = 1 Soul, 1000 gp = 2, 10,000 = 3]

The amulet can also be used to negate one instant death effect or attack, but is destroyed upon use.

Notes: The user must be present at the creation of the amulet, or perform a sacrificial ceremony to transfer the amulet to themself. The amulet is then bound to them and cannot be removed from their person except on death or if someone else performs the sacrificial ceremony.
