The Altruist Slicer comprises a pair of chain blades, one barbed for ensnaring foes, the other a sharp dagger for swift strikes. The barbed blade hooks into flesh, inflicting excruciating pain, while the dagger blade delivers precise and lethal cuts.
Barbed Blade: +2 to hit. 2d4 damage, and the blade is stuck inside the target. If the target makes a DC 12 constitution save, they can pull the dagger out. However, pulling it out causes them to bleed. Dealing an extra 1d6 damage on the start of their next turn, or half damage if they succeed a DC 13 constitution save. Range: Touch - 15 feet.
Dagger: +2 to hit. 2d6 slashing damage. Range: Touch - 15 feet.
Unravel: The user must have the chains wrapped around their arms when outside of combat in order to properly carry the blades. However, if they wish, they can spend a bonus action to unravel the blade, increasing the range to 15 feet. They can also use their bonus action to ravel them back up.
Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
