Weapon (greatsword), rare

The Abyssal Rimeblade is a formidable greatsword forged from an otherworldly stalactite found in the darkest depths of the ocean's abyss. Its hilt is crafted from black coral, adorned with luminescent sea pearls, and its blade gleams with a cold, eerie light, reminiscent of the depths where it was born.

When you hit with an attack using this magic sword, the target takes an extra 1d8 cold damage. In addition, while you hold the sword, you have resistance to fire damage.
In freezing temperatures, the blade sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.

When you draw this weapon, you can extinguish all nonmagical flames within 30 feet of you. This property can be used no more than once per hour.

Once per long rest while wielding this weapon, you can use an Action to force a creature within 5 feet of you to make a Dexterity saving throw, DC 15. On a failed save, the target takes 2d6 cold damage and 1d6 piercing as a frozen stalactite impales them. While impaled, the creature has disadvantage on any dexterity saving throws, and if the creature is large or smaller, its movement speed is reduced to 0. If it is Huge or larger, it is instead halved.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.

Notes: Damage: Cold, Resistance: Fire, Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Warding, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
