Over 2000 years ago, Fabius Argentum I was one of the greatest paladins of the Red Knight. When he fell in battle against the agents of Asmodeus, his soul refused to pass into the Fugue Plane, instead binding itself to his Luck Blade through sheer force of will, for not even in death does his duty end. He has inhabited the sword ever since, becoming more and more powerful and knowledgeable in the ways of magic, and is capable of being a patron for a warlock. He can communicate telepathically with the attuned being. When he does so, he is taciturn and cynical, an expert tactician, and strongly opposed to things he considers frivolous. The blade is nearly indestructable, requiring a Wish or divine intervention to destroy, and once spent 300 years encased in rock after his user lost a fight with a lava elemental.
