While attuned to this item, you can spend a Hit Dice to give yourself a +2 bonus to a Death Saving throw. Multiple Hit Dice can be spent at once to increase the bonus, but they must be declared before you roll the Death Save.
When you next long rest you only regain up to half your maximum hit dice back.
