The Beggar's Sacrifice You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Beacon of the Gods You may use a bonus action to ignite the flail's lantern, which remains lit until you use another bonus action to extinguish it. While lit, the lantern sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet.
When you ignite the lantern, you may also choose to ignite it with the fervor of the gods for one minute, causing your attacks to deal additional fire or radiant damage (your choice) equal to your proficiency bonus. Once you light the lantern in this way, you may not do so again until the next dawn.
Study the Veil By holding up the unlit lantern to the night sky, you can cast the Augury spell as an action. When you do so, you may ask about a specific course of action you plan to take within the next 24 hours.
By holding up the unlit lantern to the sun, you can cast the Borrowed Knowledge spell as an action. Once you use the lantern to cast this spell, you cannot do so again until the next dawn.
Lest they be Forgotten If you know the star pattern of a creature that has died within the past 24 hours, you may spend one hour adjusting the lanterns openings to encode the deceased creature's pattern. While the lantern holds their pattern in this way, the creature is under the effects of the Gentle Repose spell. While under the effects of the spell in this way, the time restraints for resurrection spells is ignored, even if they have since lapsed (in the case of Revivify).
The lantern can only hold one star pattern at a time. When you use this feature to encode another star pattern, the previous creature's pattern is lost and the spell effect ends for that creature. The spell then takes effect on the new creature.
Proficiency with a Flail allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Sap
