You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Avarice, and while wielding it know the Fortune's Favor spell, and may cast it a number of times without spell slots equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. Casting Fortune's Favor this way does not consume material components.
Additionally, Avarice feeds on gold and other such valuable items. You may spend an hour performing a ritual, which can be done during a long rest, which costs 1,000 Gold in valuables or raw coin, to grant the ability to reroll one attack per turn made with the weapon until your next long rest.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
