Weapon (shortsword), legendary (requires attunement by a Requires attunement by a fighter, rogue, or ranger.)

This shortsword features a slightly curved blade attached to hilt wrapped in black leather, with a short, blue-sheened spike as the pommel. You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic item. While attuned to this sword, you have immunity to poison damage, and you can make a bonus attack with the spike, dealing 1d4 plus Strength or Dexterity modifier of piercing damage. When you kill a creature with this weapon, it sheds a single, blue tear as it takes its last breath.

Viper's Kiss. As an action, you can cause indigo poison to coat the blade and pommel of this sword. The poison remains for 1 minute or until two attacks using the blade of this weapon hit one or more creatures. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or take 2d10 poison damage and its hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the poison damage taken. This reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0. The sword can't be used this way again until the next dawn.

Serpent Speed. When you take the Dash action, the extra movement you gain is double your speed instead of equal to your speed.

Finesse. When making an attack with finesse weapon, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls.

Light. A light weapon is small and easy to handle, making it ideal for use when fighting with two weapons.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
