A ring made by an amateur poisoner's master to protect his student from his own mistakes, and boy did he make a lot of mistakes. It is a thin silver band set with 3 clear amethysts arranged in a triangle around the alchemical glyph for poison, a small sharp needle is part of the setting. Upon use, an amethyst will turn dark as toxins in the blood are magically filtered.
Allows Protection from Poison to be Cast as a Bonus Action (BA) (Cures Poison, Advantage on Saving Throws, Poison Resistance (half damage) for 1 hour). This ring has 3 charges. If all charges are expended, the amethysts grow dark and the ring becomes dormant until cleansed in fresh water for 8 hours. Any water becomes tainted in this process, becomes a liquid poison.
If wearer would be downed while poisoned, the amethysts shatter and heals for 2d4+2 HP and cures the poison. This also voids any additional effects from being poisoned by specific poisons i.e. petrification. Any remaining spell time is still in effect. Example: If Character casts Protection from Poison, is poisoned anyways, and is downed; then Character is healed, cured from poison, and retains the buff from Protection from Poison.
This ring can be repaired, and retain its magical properties.
Notes: Requires Attunement to Use
