Aegis Arcanum (Exalted)

While wearing these arcane enhanced bracers you gain 3 AC and plus 3 to spell attacks, whenever you or an ally cast a spell that uses a spell slot, gain charges equal to the spell's level up to 50 charges and increase the bearer's AC equal to the spell's level (to a max of +20) until your next turn. These bracers also allow you to cast shield at will.

You may expend any amount of charges to give an ally and yourself AC equal to the amount of charges spent (to a max of +20) until their next turn.

You may expend any amount of charges to restore a leveled spell slot equal to the amount of charges spent to you or an ally.

You may expend 50 charges to cast counterspell at 9th level.

As a reaction you can expend any amount of charges to cast a spell, adding the expended charges to the attack roll, instead of taking an opportunity attack.
