Weapon (dart), rare

A wrist mounted automated grappling hook launcher. Traditionally mechanical but magical variants do exist. A grappling hook connects to a sturdy steel wire that is wrapped inside the Auto-Grappler. The range is determined by the length of the wire which is usually 20 ft.

As an action, the user can make a ranged attack roll to launch the Auto-Grappler to grapple onto a surface and pulls the user towards it.
Alternatively, The user can use an action to make a ranged attack roll against a target dealing 1d6 piercing damage and the target is considered grappled until the user releases the grappling hook or, as a bonus action, attempts to pull the target towards them. When attempting to pull a target, the creature makes a Strength or Dexterity save against the user's strength On a failed save they are pulled toward you in a straight line up to 20 ft and are no longer grappled. On a successful save the creature is not moved and are no longer grappled as the grappling hook retracts.
While grappling a creature in this way, the user's speed is halved and they cannot move out of the range of the grappling hook away from the grappled creature; If you do, the grappling hook retracts into the Auto-Grappler.

Proficiency with a Dart allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
