Some say this gold-adorned, curved decanter comes straight from Aegir's hall at the bottom of the sea, but because it can only contain water and not ale, scholars disregard this myth. If anything, it's more likely an artifact cursed by Aegir's wife, Ran, condemning it and whoever owns it to be ale-less and properly hydrated. A cruel and terrifying fate...
Ran's "Blessing". As a result of Ran's curse, this container cannot hold anything other than water. However, it also gives whoever wields it the ability to cast the spell Create or Destroy Water. In order to use the Create Water aspect, the decanter must currently have water in it. Water destroyed using the Destroy Water aspect is consumed and held by the decanter.
Aegir's Wrath. As long as the decanter contains water, the wielder can cast the Aqueous Blast cantrip. After casting, the water will attempt to return to the decanter, leaving the amount of water unaltered. If the cantrip is used in a way that would consume the expended water (such as an action that would transform the water into steam), the water is destroyed.
Lifegiving Tides. Once per day, if the decanter is filled, the wielder can use the water within it to cast Healing Rain. Casting this spell destroys all of the water within the decanter.
