Once attuned it can be used as a ranged weapon and has the returning feature. The Ancestral Chancla has a range of 30 feet and deals 2D8 budging damage. If the wielder is a mother the range doubles to 60 feet. If the wielder is a grandmother the range doubles agene to 120 feet. If the wielder has a wisdom bonus of +4 or more they may add their wisdom bonus to the attack roll. If the wielder has a wisdom bonus of +5 or more they may also ignore partial cover.
Apon a successful hit the target must make a wisdom save DC15 + the wielders wisdom modifier. If the target succeeds they take only the prescribed budging damage. If the target fails they will then suffer disadvantage on all attack rolls against the wielder. If the wielder has line of sight to the target then, as a bonus action, they may give the target "the look". Wisdom save DC 16. If the target fails they will suffer a -3 morality penalty on all D20 rolls. The effects of "the look" stack with the disadvantage effects gained with the initial successful attack roll. The effects of The Ancestral Chancla ware off after one long rest. The effects of The Ancestral Chancla do not stack with subsequent attack rolls on the same target.

On a miss, a boomerang returns to the thrower's hand.
