Nebula Shot: By expending a charge, a special shot can be fired that explodes midair. For 1 minute a cloud of multicolored celestial smoke floats midair. Creatures in this cloud have 3/4 cover and all attack rolls made while in the cloud are treated as though they are made against a creature with 3/4 cover. The user (And Ancientions) of this weapon can attack freely while in this smoke as if there was no cover provided. The diameter of the smoke is 15 ft.
This weapon has 1 rounds in the chamber. For an action, you can make a ranged weapon attack with 160/500 feet of range.
Attack rolls with this weapon have a modifier of 3 + (Dex modifier). And this weapon deals 3d10 piercing.
This weapon can be used for spellcasting as long as you have a bullet for the spell to replace.
On a critical failure this deals damage 1d10 fire damage to the user. The weapon can no longer make attacks until an action is used to repair the weapon.
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
