The arrow's magic shifts wildly between many elements. When you fire the arrow, roll 1d6 to determine its current elemental signature.
1= Fire, 2= Cold, 3= Poison, 4= Acid, 5= Lightning, 6= Thunder
The arrow works when it hits a creature possessing any kind of affinity with its current elemental signature. So, if it hits a creature that has either a damage resistance, immunity, or vulnerability that matches the current elemental signature of the arrow , the creature must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it takes an extra 6d10 piercing damage, or half as much extra damage on a successful one. This extra damage can't be resisted.
Once an arrow of chromatic slaying deals its extra damage to a creature, it becomes a nonmagical arrow.
Proficiency with a Dart allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
