This thick, frothy dairy liquid is gray, but its foam is a more sparkly brown color. It looks unappetizing to most creatures, and it tastes more like rocks than anything else. Earth Genasi, Goliaths, and Dwarves tend to enjoy it, though it's an acquired taste for Dwarves. It's considered delicious (and nourishing) by earth elementals, galeb duhr, and similar creatures, and it is the only organic thing Xorns can metabolize (though they prefer precious metals and gems). The cream is non-alcoholic and high in fat and nutrients.
The cream is made from milk taken from the udders of female gorgons, which are difficult to domesticate at the best of times. If it can be found for sale, a serving will cost at least 200 gp.
A dose of the cream is 3 pints, and takes three actions to finish for a Medium or smaller creature. Large and larger creatures can down the entire serving in one action.
If you are a living creature or earth-elemental capable of imbibing fluids, you can benefit from its consumption. For ten minutes after drinking a full serving of the cream, you gain the following benefits (and one penalty):
- If you have a regeneration ability, even if it is provided by an item or spell, you recover double the usual number of hit points each turn.
- You stop aging naturally for 2d12 hours, and if you are caused to age by some curse, undead's power, or spell, you age only half as much.
- You have disadvantage on all saving throws to resist petrification, or to end a petrification effect that is already affecting you.
- You have a very faint mustache of brown-gray dairy foam and your breath smells like rock dust. Removing the mustache requires a bonus action. Removing the smell requires mouthwash or a drink of something with a stronger odor.
