However, the charm of this amulet is a bit too potent and manifests in a hilariously awkward manner. Instead of attracting admirers who offer genuine compliments or assistance, the wearer finds themselves surrounded by individuals who express exaggerated and absurd admiration. The amulet only works in a village, town or city and the precise nature of the admiration is decided by rolling a d20 on the Awkward Admiration Table. The amulet can also affect fellow party members, and the effect wears off after 1d4 hours.

Additionally, the ring has a 1 in 5 chance of attracting someone to the wearer romantically. They will follow the wearer, begging for marriage until 3d4 hours have passed or until the wearer firmly tells them they will not accept. If the latter happens, the attracted person will slap the wearer across the face before walking away. There is an equal (50:50) chance of the attracted person being male or female.
