This candle is made from an essence enriched wax that, when burnt, creates a violet flame that smells funny. The flame dances with hues of azure and violet.
The candle's magic is activated when the candle is lit, which requires an action. While lit, the candle sheds dim light in a 30-foot radius. Within its illuminated radius, the candle reveals the presence of any magical aura or residue, whether from spells, enchanted items, or lingering arcane effects. Furthermore, the candle grants advantage on Intelligence (Arcana) checks made to identify or discern the properties of magical items or spells within its radius. The magic of the candle cannot penetrate thick barriers.
After burning for 4 hours, the candle is destroyed. You can snuff it out early for use at a later time. Deduct the time it burned in increments of 1 hour from the candle's total burn time.
