Weapon (maul), very rare (requires attunement by a creature with a Strength score of 15 or higher)

Fashioned from a solid piece of lapis lazuli, Shellcracker's head resembles a solid piece of ocean frozen in place. The handle, crafted from enchanted aquamarine, is inlaid with mother-of-pearl, hardened with countless enchantments. The grip feels cool and slightly damp, as if soaked by the ocean itself. Shellcracker is a family heirloom of the Sinkala family, originally having been crafted for the King of Daragaard, Alasdair Sinkala in 402aw.

Chill of the Deep (Passive). Shellcracker grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls, and with the chill of the depths, deals an additional 1d6 cold damage on hit.

Marine Communion (Passive). The wielder can communicate telepathically with aquatic creatures within 300 feet.

Aquatic Adaptation (Passive). The wielder gains a swimming speed equal to their walking speed and can breathe underwater.

Crushing Wave (Critical Hit). On a critical hit, Shellcracker releases a burst of concentrated ocean energy, causing the target and all enemies within 5 feet to take an additional 2d8 cold damage and must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of their next turn.
