Wondrous Item, common

Draconic Druid Scales

If you control this item and you are a Dragonborn Druid, you may apply the following effects based on your draconic ancestry.

You may place multiple scales on different creatures. All placed scales disappear when combat ends, when combat begins again, or when the creature holding a scale dies.

Acid Dragonborn

Bonus Action — Remove Scale

Once per turn, you may remove one of your scales as a bonus action and take {{dice:1d4}} damage.
You then give the scale to a creature within reach.

For every 5 Druid levels, you may remove that many scales per turn.

A creature holding an Acid Scale becomes coated in corrosive essence:

  • If the creature is touching an ally, that ally heals {{dice:1d6}} at the start of their turn.

  • If touching an enemy, that enemy takes {{dice:1d6}} acid damage at the start of their turn.

Poison Dragonborn

Bonus Action — Remove Scale

Once per turn, remove one scale and take {{dice:1d4}} damage.
You then give the scale to a creature.

A creature with a Poison Scale emits a 15-ft Poison Zone:

  • Enemies inside have reduced vision

  • All melee attack rolls against any target inside are made with disadvantage

Fire Dragonborn

Bonus Action — Remove Scale

Once per turn, remove one scale and take {{dice:1d4}} damage.
You then give the scale to a creature.

At will, you may combust all Fire Scales on creatures within 10 ft of you:

All enemies within 10 ft of a creature holding a scale must make a DC 12 Wisdom save:

  • On a success: half damage

  • On a failure: full damage

The explosion deals {{dice:1d4}} fire damage.
For every 2 Druid levels, add an additional 1d4.

Cold Dragonborn

Bonus Action — Remove Scale

Once per turn, remove a scale and take {{dice:1d4}} damage.
You then give the scale to a creature.

Creatures with a Cold Scale emit a 15-ft Frost Zone:

  • Enemies inside the zone have –15 ft movement.

Lightning Dragonborn

Bonus Action — Remove Two Scales

Once per turn, you may remove two scales and take {{dice:1d6}} damage.
You then give the scales to creatures.

Once you have at least 4 scales placed among creatures, you may activate an Electrical Field:

  • You and your allies have advantage on all attack rolls made while inside the field.
