Weapon (longsword), uncommon

This huge knife was likely used by a barlgura to cut up creatures into pieces. However, it seems to be a very effective weapon as well, working as a longsword, and, for some reason, having magical properties.

This is a +1 weapon, meaning that its wielder gets +1 on both attacks and damage dealt. So, it deals 1d10+1 damage to its targets upon a hit if used two-handed and 1d8+1 damage if used one-handed.

Additionally, Once every long rest, before a strike, the wielder of the weapon can choose to fully utilize the magical properties of the blade. This means, that for the next strike, the blade will grant the wielder a +3 modifier (instead of +1) on the attack roll and deal 3d10+3 (if used two-handed) or 3d8+3 (if used one-handed) damage upon a hit. However, if the attack is unsuccessful, the bonuses are not transferred to the next strike.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
