Once per day while wearing this ring, as an action you can speak the command word to activate it. While active, the ring will flash red if a creature speaking out loud to you tells you a lie. Conversely, while the ring is active, the wearer can't lie, as if under the effects of the Zone of Truth spell. The ring remains active for 10 minutes, during which time it cannot be removed (short of cutting it off or a remove curse spell), then goes dormant until you complete a long rest.
