Arcane Aegis of the Eldritch Grimoire

The Arcane Aegis is a finely crafted metal trinket, an intricate blend of wrought iron and enchanted silver, shaped to cradle and protect the warlock's spellbook. The trinket clamps onto the spine of the spellbook, with two extending arms that hold the book open to any page. The surface is etched with ancient runes and mystical sigils that shimmer faintly with an inner light.

Magical Properties:

• Magical Protection: The spellbook is immune to damage from all sources, including fire, water, and physical tearing. It cannot be stolen or removed from the warlock’s presence by any means short of divine intervention. If separated by more than 60 feet, it reappears within the warlock's grasp.
• Deflecting Tome: When activated, the spellbook floats around the warlock, granting a +2 bonus to AC. The warlock can use a reaction to add an additional +2 bonus to AC against one attack, potentially causing the attack to miss. This effect can be used a number of times equal to the warlock's proficiency bonus per long rest.
• Sentinel Spellbook: As a bonus action, the warlock can command the book to intercept an attack targeted at an ally within 30 feet. The ally gains the same +2 AC bonus for that attack. This can be used a number of times equal to the warlock's Charisma modifier (minimum of once) per long rest.
• Floating Fortification: While the book is active and floating, the warlock can cast the *Shield* spell once per short or long rest as a reaction without expending a spell slot.
• Arcane Repository: The spellbook serves as a focus for the warlock's magic. When casting a spell that requires a spell attack roll, the warlock gains advantage on the roll once per long rest.

Activation:

To activate the Arcane Aegis, the warlock must utter an incantation in a forgotten tongue: "Aegis Protego." Upon activation, the trinket glows briefly before the spellbook levitates and the enchantments take effect.
