Astrolabe

Crafted from a material that seems to shimmer and change depending on the angle of light, it could be stardust compressed into a solid form or a fragment of a shattered god. Etched on its surface are not constellations but swirling galaxies, nebulae that pulse with an inner light, and symbols that writhe and twist like the trails of comets.

The astrolabe itself is a marvel. Its rings spin with a whispered hum, each one engraved with arcane script that seems to writhe and change as you turn them. A central pointer, fashioned from a ornate hourglass turn in place in perpetuity.

But the astrolabe is just one piece of the puzzle.
