The Animus Rings can take the form of two one-handed pieces of equipment or one large two-handed piece of equipment. They cannot become any item with the "loaded" or "ammunition" properties. Any weapons or armor formed by the rings have a +1 magical modifier and count as magical for ressistances.
changing what form the rings take costs either an Action, Bonus action, or Reaction.
they can become any equipment you are familiar with for free. They can become items you have heard of or had described to you for a DC 12 INT check. They can become items you come up with for a DC 20 INT check.
as a reaction when falling you can slow your rate of descent to 60 ft per round for one minute. If you land within this time you take no fall damage. You can hold one creature smaller than you while you fall in this way.
as a reaction you can use the shield master abilities on you and one person within 5 ft of you:
If you aren't incapacitated, you can add your shield's AC bonus to any Dexterity saving throw you make against a spell or other harmful effect that targets only you.
If you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you can use your reaction to take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, interposing your shield between yourself and the source of the effect.
While using the rings to simulate weapons you gain the benefits of the dual-wielding feat and the two-weapon fighting style:
When you engage in two-weapon fighting, you can add your ability modifier to the damage of the second attack.
You gain a +1 bonus to AC while you are wielding a separate melee weapon in each hand.
You can use two-weapon fighting even when the one-handed melee weapons you are wielding aren't light.
You can draw or stow two one-handed weapons when you would normally be able to draw or stow only one.
Notes: These liquid metal rings wrap around your wrists and cannot be removed
