The Sword of The Storm Coast, also known as Arashi-No-Ken (The Heavenly Sword of The Storm), is a mythical sword from the southern kingdoms. Legends say the sword was forged by the Great Spirits of The One-Hundred Kingdoms during the First Founding for the Eastern Storm King. An aspect of the tempest itself, Arashi-No-Ken was gifted to the Eastern Storm King’s champion and has been passed from great warrior to great warrior through The One-Hundred Kingdoms history. The last place the sword had been seen, was deep inside a forest as the final seal keeping something evil dormant. Some say the sword has since vanished…
The grip is wrapped in a pure white cloth band that runs the length of the sword. The handguard is adorned with silver imagery of crashing waves and sea foam, pierced with golden lighting bolts. The scabbard is a deep matte blue, with the faint inlay of a pale dragon along it. The blade shimmers blue in the light, with an edge sharp enough that the light seems to ripple across it.

Curse Of the Oni: Once attuned to Arashi-no-Ken, the corruption it held at bay begins to seep into you. This Curse stays even if you are no longer attuned to Arashi-No-Ken. It can only be removed by the Remove Curse or Wish spell This begins as an increased hunger, such as a doubled appetite, increased thirst, an increased desire to fight, etc. After three days you are filled with a horrible rage that burns within you. Whenever you perform an Attack Action you may choose to roll as many of your Hit Dice as you wish, to add the dice result as the weapons damage type, in addition to its normal damage. After five days the burning rage begins to permeate your every living moment. Whenever a hostile creature damages you while the sword is in your possession, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or succumb to your rage. When you succumb to your rage, you must use your action each round to attack the creature nearest to you with the sword. If you have multiple targets you must choose at random. Whenever you make a Strength check or saving throw, you can roll one or more of you Hit Dice and add the number rolled to the check or save. After seven days, you have become fully corrupted. You gain the Frightful Presence feature with a range of 60ft (DC16 wisdom save) as your form becomes the stuff of nightmares. Your Strength becomes 19, unless it was already higher, your unarmed strikes now deal 1D8 of magical Slashing damage and you must now sustain yourself on the flesh and blood of other humanoids. You now also can succumb to your rage willingly without taking damage from a hostile creature first, and do not have to possess the sword. At this level of corruption only the use of a Wish spell can remove this curse.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
