This strange weapon is the culmination of ancient rune carving and modern weaponsmithing. A greatsword carved with the magical runes of the giants, combined with a haft of dwarf forged steel to form the "Atgeir" of giant fables, also called "maille-piercer" and "hewing hand". This weapon is attested in some of the old stories of giants warring amongst themselves in "The Ordning " set down by Annam the All-Father in his ancient empire of Ostoria.
This giant sword still makes for a formidable, if cumbersome weapon, you have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Oversized. To properly use this weapon requires either a Strength of 21 or higher, or to be of Large size or larger. If you don't meet these requirements, using this weapon reduces your speed by half, you have disadvantage on attack rolls made with it, and you can't make more than one attack during a turn. If wrapped and strapped however, one can still travel effectively with it using the haft as a walking stick.
Jötunns Reach. Using an Action, you can attach the leather wrapped haft to the hilt of the sword giving the weapon the Reach property until you use an Action to disjoint the two again.
Shattering Impact. This weapon deals an additional 1d6 slashing damage on a hit, or 2d6 additional slashing damage if the target is an object or creature at least one size smaller than you.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
