The great wizard Adderanse was one of many spellcasters who have an extremely hard time with concentrating on his spells. Whether it be due to a curse, a medical condition, or risky behavior in dangerous situations, many spellcasters have the same difficulty maintaining concentration, which is a key skill for any good caster. Adderanse created a new kind of arcane focus, a type that is scarcely seen and very expensive, with himself and soellcasters like him in mind.
By performing a ritual lasting one hour, casters can store a concentration spell up to 5th level in the object. Regardless of the spell's usual duration, the spell effect only lasts a maximum number of turns equal to the caster's spellcasting modifier.
The object also has 3 charges that reset every dawn and can be used in the following ways:
- 1 charge can be expended to give yourself advantage on a Constitution saving throw in order to maintain concentration on a spell (not a spell stored in the focus)
- 2 charges can be expended as an action to cast the spell stored in the focus.
- 3 charges can be expended as a bonus action to switch the burden of concentration from yourself to the focus.
The focus can take any form that a tiny arcane focus would and uses your stats to when concentration checks are needed.
