Special Abilities
-
Glaive Launcher: As an action, you can launch the glaive blade attached to a retractable chain up to 60 feet. Make a ranged attack roll against a creature, and on a hit, deal 1d8 slashing damage and can choose to pull the target up to 10 feet closer to you. The creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 14) or be pulled towards you. The glaive blade returns to your hand immediately after the attack.
Special Ability - Glaive Restrain: After using the Glaive Launcher, you can use a bonus action to restrain a target within range. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 14) or be considered restrained for 1 minute. The restrained condition can be interfered if the user succeeds the save that they can make at the end of each turn or if the user of the weapon shifts the form or make another attack.
-
Three-Part Quarterstaff: The shaft of the Mechanized Glaive can split into three parts, transforming it into a quarterstaff configuration that has 15ft reach. While in this form, it functions as a versatile melee weapon, allowing you to make melee attacks with 1d8 bludgeoning damage.
Special Ability - Trip: While wielding the Mechanized Glaive in its quarterstaff form, you gain a +1 bonus to AC and as a bonus action can perform a trip attack against a target within melee range. The target if their size is medium or lower must make an athletics or acrobatics check or knocked prone.
-
Ball and Chain: The shaft of the Mechanized Glaive can shorten, and the glaive blade can be detached and swung on the chain, creating a reach weapon with a range of 10 feet. The attack deals 1d6 slashing damage.
Special Ability - Disarming Strike: When you hit a creature with the Ball and Chain attack, you can use a bonus action to attempt to disarm the target. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 13) or drop one held item of your choice that it is currently wielding.
-
Chained Blade: The glaive blade can detach from the shaft and extend via a retractable chain, allowing you to swing it around. You can use this form to make ranged attacks with a range of 60 feet, dealing 1d8 slashing damage.
Special Ability - Grappling Hook: As an action, you can use the Chained Blade to attempt to grapple a surface or an object within 30 feet of you. Make a ranged attack roll against a DC determined by the DM based on the difficulty of the surface or the weight of the object. On a successful hit, the blade lodges securely, allowing you to use the chain to climb or swing to that location.
-
Empowerment Surge: Once per long rest, as a bonus action, you can empower the Mechanized Glaive with arcane energy. For the next minute, all attacks made with the glaive (both melee and ranged) deal an additional 1d6 force damage. This enhancement lasts until the end of your next turn or until you are incapacitated.
Proficiency with a Glaive allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Weapon Property: Finesse, Heavy, Reach, Two-Handed, Graze
