Ascûma was used in many battles and killed scores of warriors by the hand of the great dragonborn warrior, Yamala. All the unwilling who were slain by the sword fell subject to the wielder's command and could be seen through the astral plane when called upon. When Yamala passed, the ownership of his sword devolved down to his only son, Jieda. Upon learning that the sword had indeed become a famous symbol of war, Jieda attempted to hide it. Unfortunately, he failed miserably, was slain, and Ascûma was later found by Comadra, The High Ruler--at the time--of orcs, goblins, trolls, and giants. However, Ascûma refused to work for Comadra because his ideals were quite the opposite of what the sword saw as Good. As a result, Ascûma stayed in Comadra's treasure room even after the day he died. It may have been found already, but most researchers believe that Ascûma still resides in it's old resting place.
Ascûma has 20 charges and regains 1d20 charges daily at dusk. When regaining charges in this way, if you roll a twenty, you have 40 maximum charges until the next dusk.
Ascûma deals a base 2d6 slashing damage.
Summoning:
You have a large supply of Fallen Warriors, but not all of then are easy to identify. For example, a dragon is easy because it is a dragon, but elves, humans, orcs, and other medium sized creatures may be harder to distinguish. All warriors you summon will fulfill any verbal command in any language you understand that you direct towards them. When you kill a creature with this sword, it's body is destroyed and it becomes a spirit in a random place on the astral plane.
As a bonus action, reaction or attack, you can instantly summon one dwarf that deals 1d12 damage to whatever enemy is closest to you then disappears. If multiple targets are the same distance away from you then you may choose which enemy to attack.
You can expend 1d4 charges to summon 1d20 small size warriors. These warriors deal 1d6 damage each and have an AC of 10. The entire group has between 20 and 80 HP (DM's decision). It takes 5 minutes of concentration to call upon these warriors.
To summon Medium sized warriors, expend 1d10 charges. This will summon 2d20 warriors each who can deal 1d12+2 damage and have an AC of 15. This time the HP of an individual warrior is based off of challenge levels. The HP can be anywhere between 40 and 200, but the challenge would be the HP divided by 10. Eg HP=170 : CL=17. It takes 10 minutes of concentration to call upon these warriors.
Dragons are really easy to identify but it is hard to determine a summoned dragon's color. Creatures called by Ascûma have a ghostly green hue. However, as the wielder, when summoning an individual creature, you know exactly what it is. Therefore you will know what kind of dragon it is, and with the help of the race description, be able to control it. However, to summon a dragon, you must already meet the challenge level of the particular species. Summoning a young dragon will take 20 minutes of concentration and expend 20 charges. Summoning an adult dragon will take an hour and use 30 charges.
Ascûma prefers killing the creatures listed above so if you kill a creature that does not fit into a category above, to summon it again will require spending 18 charges regardless of it's race and you must roll a DC15 Charisma check to succeed. On a critical fail, (rolling a 1) attempt a DC17 Charisma saving throw taking 2d10 necrotic damage on a failed save and half as much on a successful one.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Worthy Warrior, Summoning, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
