Alchemical Striker is an innovative piece of equipment that combines the power of technology and alchemy. It features a robust, leather design with intricate gears and mechanisms. When activated, it utilizes stored potions to enhance the wearer's punches, delivering powerful, potion-infused strikes to opponents. This unique blend of mechanics and alchemy makes it a formidable weapon in any battle.
This weapon has 5 charges (Potions). These can be bought from any potion shops or made with the right ingredients.
As an action, you can activate the Striker to change to the next potion/charge in the "magazine". When attacking a target, you have to make a melee attack that does 2d8 bludgeoning damage plus the respective potions damage.
There are 5 types of charges/potions that can be loaded into the Striker at one time, and they go as follows:
- Acid (Make a DC 15 Con save, on a failure, take an additional 1d6 poison damage. Success takes no damage)
- Cold (Make a DC 15 Con save, on a failure, the target's speed is halved till it's next turn)
- Fire (Make a DC 15 Dex save, on a failure, the target takes an additional 1d6 fire damage each round till it's next turn)
- Lightning (Make a DC 15 Dex save, on a failure, the target takes an additional 1d6 lightning damage and any people within 10ft of the target takes half damage)
- Thunder (Make a DC 15 Dex save, on a failure, the target is pushed back 15ft in a line)
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Range, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload, Sap
