The Arcane Spear of Translocation is a finely crafted weapon, forged from an otherworldly metal that shimmers with iridescent hues. Its shaft is inscribed with arcane runes that pulse with a soft, blue light, and its tip is made of a sharp, crystalline material that seems to bend light around it.
Properties:
- Spellcasting Attack: You can use your spellcasting ability modifier for the attack and damage rolls with this magic spear, instead of Strength or Dexterity.
- Arcane Infusion: When you hit with this spear, you deal an extra 1d8 force damage. This bonus damage increases to 2d8 if you have expended a spell slot of 3rd level or higher within the last minute.
- Teleportation Thrust (3/day): As a bonus action after hitting a target with the spear, you can teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 30 feet of the target. This ability recharges at dawn.
- Spell Channeling: You can use the spear as a spellcasting focus. When you cast a spell that requires a melee spell attack, you can make the attack with the spear instead.
- Runic Echo: When you deal force damage with the spear, you can choose to echo the runes inscribed on the spear, causing an additional effect. Choose one of the following:
- Dimensional Anchor: The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 15) or be unable to teleport or move to another plane of existence until the end of your next turn.
- Temporal Distortion: The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC 15) or have its movement speed halved until the end of your next turn.
Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
