Weapon (rapier), artifact (requires attunement by a non-good aligned creature via a bonding ritual)

An ominous rapier, Requiem bleeds an aura of malevolence befitting its matron goddess, Malice. The blade is long and thin, forged from an extremely dark metal that seems to drink in the light around it. Its edges are razor-sharp, perfect for precise and deadly strikes. This weapon is a perfect embodiment of the goddess Malice, a tool of darkness and despair designed to bring pain and suffering to its enemies.

Vestige (Passive). Requiem grants +3 to hit and damage.

Dark Harvest (Passive). The rapier deals an additional 2d4 necrotic damage. The Bonded gains temporary hit points equal to half of any necrotic damage dealt by Requiem.

Cruel Intent (Passive). Using Requiem, the Bonded gains an additional 2d6 necrotic damage to incapacitated enemies, stunned enemies and enemies under half health.

Nightmare Surge (8 Charges/Day). Requiem contains 8 charges, which you roll 1d6+2 charges for daily. Expending a charge on a hit causes the target to experience overwhelming terror. On a failed DC 17 Wisdom saving throw, they are stunned until the end of your next turn and take 3d6 psychic damage.

Weekly Exalted Action. Malice's Embrace. Channelling the essence of Malice, the wielder plunges Requiem into the ground, creating an aura of despair in a 30-foot radius. Enemies within the radius must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, they are paralyzed and marked by Malice for 1 minute; they can re-save at the start of their turn. Marked enemies take an additional 1d8 necrotic damage from any necrotic damage source. Allies within the radius are cloaked in shadow, granting them advantage on stealth checks and immunity to fear and charm effects for 1 minute. The area becomes shrouded in darkness, revealing all hidden and invisible creatures and objects, and suppressing any radiant or holy magic of 4th level or lower.
