Aetherial Staff

This staff has 7 charges. On your turn, as an action, you can expend 1 charge to cast summon a Dwarven Spider. The spider appears in an unoccupied space you choose within 120 feet of you. It remains as long as you concentrate (as if concentrating on a spell), to a maximum of 1 hour, or until it drops to 0 hit points. It then crumbles to dust.

While summoned, the spider is friendly to you and your companions. It obeys any commands you give it, no matter what language you use. If you fail to command it, the spider defends itself against attackers but takes no other actions.

The staff regains 1d6 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the staff's last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff crumbles into ashes and is destroyed.
