Weapon (greataxe), very rare

An anchor that's a little larger than a two-handed ax. Both sides of the anchor are sharpened to split a hair. On the end of the anchor is a 20 foot chain. This can be used as an ax and a grappling weapon.

  • Item does 1d12 slashing damage.
  • It has a 20 foot reach and the wielder can pull the target back to them or restrain them with a grapple check.
  • You get a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. 
  • Lightning Damage: When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can expend a charge to deal an extra 1d6 lightning damage. The target has disadvantage on its first attack roll it makes in its following turn, and takes 1d6 thunder damage at the end of that turn.
  • When the wielder is in town they have +1 to intimidation for looking like such a bad ass with a giant anchor on their back. 

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
