Physical Description:
This unsettling halberd has a twisted, magenta colored pole that seems to have fused with it's dark serrated obsidian blade. The pole and grip also have the texture of some sort of scaled reptile even though it's made of wood. Touching it makes one feel slightly nauseous, as if they ate something that isn't digesting right.
Magical Properties:
- This weapon's attacks count as magical.
- This weapon adds a +3 to attack rolls against aberrations.
- When the weapon does do damage to an aberration choose to add a (1d10) in psychic OR necrotic damage. If the wielder is willing to sacrifice their own hit points to help fuel the halberd's fury, they can add up to half the number of hit points they choose to lose to this damage roll.
- This weapon's wielder starts combat with a +3 to their initiative roll if an aberration happens to be within 120 ft of them.
Proficiency with a Halberd allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
