amulet of greed

This amulet is made of gold and encrusted with a variety of precious gemstones, each glowing faintly with an inner light. It was crafted by the followers of Abathor, the dwarven god of greed and trickery, and stolen from his temple by a daring gnome thief.

Properties:

• Greedy Aura: While wearing the Amulet of Greed, you have advantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks made to negotiate or barter for wealth or valuable items.
• Sense Wealth: You can cast the spell Detect Magic at will, but this version of the spell only reveals the location and nature of valuable items and treasure (gold, gems, magical items, etc.) within range. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all uses after a long rest.
• Curse of Avarice: The amulet is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the amulet, keeping it within your possession at all times. Removing the amulet against your will requires a successful DC 20 Wisdom saving throw. Additionally, you have disadvantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks and Wisdom saving throws.
• Treasure Hoard: Once per day, you can use an action to cast Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum without expending a spell slot or requiring material components. The sanctum appears as a magnificent treasure vault filled with illusory wealth that only you and creatures you designate can see. This illusion lasts for the duration of the spell.
• Greed's Reward: As an action, you can call upon the amulet's power to gain temporary hit points equal to twice your level. These temporary hit points last for 1 hour. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Notes: Attuning to the Amulet of Greed requires you to spend a short rest focusing on the amulet while in possession of at least 100 gold pieces or an equivalent amount in other valuables.
