Aegis of the Celestial Void

The Aegis of the Celestial Void is a shield forged from a fragment of a collapsed star, infused with the protective essence of the Ancient Solar Dragon. Its surface is a swirling tapestry of celestial patterns, and it seems to pulse with the combined energies of the void and the sun. The shield provides unparalleled protection and enhances the wielder's connection to the cosmic forces.

 

• AC Bonus: +3
• Solar Ward: As a reaction when you are hit by an attack, you can activate the shield’s protective magic to gain resistance to all damage from that attack. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once) per long rest.
• Void Barrier: While holding this shield, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Additionally, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have resistance to force damage.
• Eclipse Shield: Once per long rest, as an action, you can create a barrier of combined solar and void energy around you for 1 minute. This barrier grants you and all friendly creatures within 30 feet of you temporary hit points equal to your level + your Charisma modifier at the start of each of your turns. While the barrier is active, creatures within its radius are also considered to be under the effect of the Dispel Evil and Good spell.
• Celestial Resonance: When used by a Voidborn Dragonborn, the shield amplifies their innate abilities. Your Void Step distance increases to 30 feet, and you can use it an additional time before needing a long rest.

 

 

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
