"The blade is designed to ensure the commitment of whoever wields it."
Consisting of a blade that can be discreetly extended or retracted from a bracer or gauntlet, the Hidden Blade's portability and concealability complement the Rouge's trademark affinity for stealth. As its name implies, the Hidden Blade is a concealable weapon that is composed of a narrow blade set into a channel on the underside of a bracer or gauntlet. Controlled by spring-loaded mechanism, the blade can spontaneously extend and retract from its position.
The blade was normally constructed from a bar of iron and at least two coils; three gears, two sprockets, one chain, and three screws alongside the hide for the leather bracer in most cases, more durable versions have been made such as this one, constructed by an alloy mix of Adamantine and Mithiril, allowing for the piece to be light weight but strong the use of the materials in this bracer along with the armoured plate on the bracer itself allows a bonus to protection the original version of the blade did not.
When attuned to this item you gain a +1 to AC and the damage of the blade when used is 1d6 due to the materials used. the crafting of such a blade even using such strong materials is not magical in anyway and as such is a non-magical weapon when counting resistance.
Also due to the nature and concealability of the blade, for the blade to be detected would need an Investigation DC of 18 or Perception DC of 25.
Before an Attack roll, decide to use a charge, if you do so then on a successful hit regardless of the roll treat it as a critical hit and ignore all resistance.
Regain 1d4-1 charges each dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. on a 1 the blade breaks, 2-9 the blade cracks and must be repaired before charges can be regained, 10-19 blade is fine with no change, 20 regain all charges.
(the cost to repair a broken blade due to materials is 500Gp and 5 days work from an expert Smith)
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
