While wearing this amulet, when you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you gain temporary hit points equal to twice your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). This effect uses 1 charge from the amulet. The amulet has 3 charges total, which are regained at each Long Rest.
Cursed. The amulet is cursed, binding the wearer to a fiendish pact. When you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points and have no charges in the amulet, you take damage equal to twice your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). The damage is necrotic and cannot be reduced in any way (bypasses any immunities and resistances). Upon using a greater restoration, remove curse, or wish spell to free the wearer from the curse, the amulet shatters into many pieces, unable to be repaired.
