Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement by a Spellcaster)

Intricately shaped obsidian is lined with the glowing green necrotic energy empowering this bow. While you hold it, you feel your senses are heightened, and you can see past the blurred lines of reality. This bow is imbued with the power of darkness and death, and can only be wielded by those it chooses. 

Well of Death. This weapon's attacks deal 1d8 + dex necrotic damage, and do not require ammunition.

Focused Exertion. You may use this weapon as a spellcasting focus.

Foresight. You gain a +2 bonus to spell attack rolls made with this weapon.

Soul Seeker. When you damage a creature with this weapon's normal attack, you know their exact position up to 300 feet away, and they suffer from the effects of the Hex spell. This effect lasts for one hour, until the creature dies, or until you hit another creature with this weapon's normal damage.

Dark Presence. Once per long rest, you may use your reaction to summon a 30 foot orb of magical darkness on your position. While in this darkness, you have a truesight out to 30 feet. This darkness lasts for one minute or until you leave it.

Haunting Echo. While attuned to this weapon, you may cast Toll the Dead at will.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
