An ancient artifact of the Shoon dynasty of Calimshan, Akkabar Shoon's Battleblade Ring is formed from dozens of tiny shards of mithril that seem to flow and weave around your finger, flexing oddly with your movement yet never piercing your skin. In the year 351 it was gifted as tribute to Iryklathagra the blue dragon wyrm, in whose lair it lay for over a thousand years until it was lost on the field of battle outside Waterdeep in the death of Iryklathagra's daughter Araugauthos the Bluetalon.
You gain a +2 bonus to AC and saving throws while wearing this ring. As your action you can command the ring to produce a blade barrier spell cast with a DC of 18. In the activation, the ring flows from your hand and spins away into hundreds of dagger-sized shards. The spell lasts for 10 minute without concentration, or can be ended at will (no action). When the spell ends the ring reforms from the mithril shards, and teleports to your hand if you are within 60 feet. Otherwise it drops to the ground in the center of the area the blade barrier occupied..
