The Amulet of Absoprtion was made long ago for a Wild Magic Sorcerer so powerful their magic began to tear them apart. The Amulet of Absorption has 6 charges. You may expend a single charge to cast Absorb Elements at the highest spell level you have, or to negate the effects of a Wild Magic Surge. You may also expend 3 charges to cast counterspell at the highest spell level you have. During a short or long rest you may expend a spell slot of level 3 or higher to regain 1d4+2 charges.
If you expend all of the charges roll 1d20. On a roll of 5 or lower, the Amulet loses all of it's power and becomes a normal amulet. On a roll of 6 or higher, nothing happens. If you roll a 20 on this roll, the Amulet emits a Wild Magic Surge.
