Staff, rare (requires attunement by a takes one hour to attune to)
  • You can use the staff as a spellcasting focus for your artificer spells.
  • You can try to cast a cantrip that you don’t know. The cantrip must be on the artificer spell list, and you must make a DC 10 Intelligence (Arcana) check. If the check succeeds, you cast the spell. If the check fails, so does the spell, and the action used to cast the spell is wasted. In either case, you can’t use this property again until you finish a long rest.
  • Proficiency with a quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
  • With the power of the staff your mind is split in two allowing you to concentrate on two spells instead of one. As a bonus action you may invoke the power of the staff to maintain concentration on two spells at a time for a duration of 1 minute once per day. During this time you have disadvantage on saving throws made to maintain concentration. When you make a saving throw to maintain concentration it applies to both spells currently being maintained. If you cast a third spell requiring concentration you must end the effect of either of the two previous spells.
