The ArcLink is a sleek, magitech wristband distributed by the Solaran Trade Circle to all inhabitants of the New Dawn Settlement. Made from polished, lightweight metal with a small, luminescent crystal at its center, the ArcLink fits comfortably around the wrist. The crystal displays alerts and updates by changing colors, reacting to various magical energies and situations.
Properties:
Health Monitor:
The ArcLink monitors your vital signs. Once per long rest, if you fall to 0 hit points and are not killed outright, the ArcLink automatically stabilizes you (no roll required).
Danger Sense:
The ArcLink has a built-in alert system that warns the wearer of imminent danger. As a reaction, you can gain advantage on a single Dexterity saving throw against traps, hazards, or environmental dangers. This feature can be used once per long rest.
Communication:
The ArcLink allows you to send and receive brief messages (25 words or less) to and from other ArcLink wearers within a 1-mile radius. This feature functions similarly to the sending spell but is limited to those who are wearing an ArcLink. Messages cannot be intercepted unless detected by magic that can specifically target communications.
Emergency Beacon:
As an action, you can activate the ArcLink’s emergency beacon, which sends a distress signal to the nearest Solaran Trade Circle outpost or militia within 10 miles. Help will arrive as soon as possible, depending on the location and situation. This feature can be used once per day.
Notes: To attune to the ArcLink, the wearer must spend a short rest (30 minutes) focusing on the wristband. During this time, the wearer establishes a mental and magical connection with the device.
