A finely crafted lute with a hidden blade running along its neck. The blade is lined with amethyst shards, giving it a beautiful but dangerous edge. Bards can use this weapon in close combat while still performing their songs and spells.
Bonus: +3 to attack and damage rolls.
Special Property: The bard can use the lute to cast Greater Invisibility once per long rest. Allies within 30 feet of the bard gain an extra 1d6 on their damage rolls for 1 minute when the bard performs a musical performance.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
