Weapon (greatsword), very rare (requires attunement)

- Damage: 2d6 slashing + 1d6 acid (1d4 acid, next round)
- Attack Bonus: +2

Description:
Acidmaw is a dark and sinister weapon, forged with the essence of a black dragon. The blade, a gleaming black, extends from the gaping maw of the dragon's head, which forms the handguard. The long, curving horns of the acid dragon arch upwards, serving as the crossguard, their tips razor-sharp. The pommel is shaped like the tail of the dragon, coiled tightly with a wicked barbed stinger at the end, reminiscent of the dragon's deadly nature.

Acid Seep (Bonus Action):
You can use a bonus action to speak Acidmaw’s command word, causing a viscous green acid to begin seeping from the blade. The acid drips at a rate of one drop per round and deals 1d4 acid damage to any object or creature it touches.

While the sword is dripping acid, it deals an additional 1d6 acid damage to any target it hits. Furthermore, for each successful hit, the acid lingers, automatically dealing an additional 1d4 acid damage at the start of the target's next turn.

Attunement:
Acidmaw requires attunement to wield, and only those who have proven their strength and resolve can bond with this mighty weapon. Must have a Strength score of 14 or higher to wield with proficiency. The wielder often finds their thoughts drifting towards the destructive nature of a black dragon, feeling a connection to the corrosive power embodied in the blade.

Acid Resistance:
While attuned to Acidmaw, the wielder gains resistance to acid damage. The corrosive energy that flows through the blade also protects its master, allowing them to shrug off the effects of acid-based attacks.

Notes:
This greatsword is sought after by those who respect and fear the corrosive nature of black dragons, and its power is a reflection of the wrath of these ancient beasts. When wielding Acidmaw, one cannot help but feel the relentless hunger of the black dragon, seeking to melt and destroy all that stands in its way.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
