This bloodshot eye looks freshly torn from a socket, its cat-like iris glowing a deep gold. To attune to the eye, you must gouge out your own eye and press the artifact into the empty socket. The eye grafts itself to your head and remains there until you die. Once in place, the eye transforms into a golden eye with a slit for a pupil, much like that of a cat. If the eye is ever removed, you die.
Dark Influence: Your good-evil alignment changes to evil (retaining your original law-chaos alignment) and other creatures can't take short or long rests while with in 300 feet of you. You can no longer sleep, no longer need to sleep, and can't be forced to sleep by any means. To gain the benefits of a long rest, you must spend all 8 hours doing light activity, such as reading and keeping watch.
Sight Beyond Sight: You cannot be surprised and have advantage on initiative rolls. You have truesight to a range of 120ft, notice secret doors hidden by magic, and can see into the Ethereal Plane. As a Bonus Action, you gain the ability to see through solid objects to a range of 30 feet. This special sight lasts for 1 minute or until your concentration ends (as if you were concentrating on a spell). During that time, you perceive objects as ghostly, transparent images.
God-Render: Creatures with Legendary Resistances cannot use them in response to any of your spells and abilities.
Master of the Weave: You do not suffer the normal restrictions against casting a leveled spell as an Action and a Bonus action. Instead, you may cast a spell as an Action and Bonus Action on your turn, so long as at least one of those spells is 3rd level or lower.
Don't Blink: The Eye has 9 charges. You can use an action and expend 1 or more charges to cast one of the following spells (save DC 19) from it: Clairvoyance (2 charges), Crown of Madness (1 charge), Disintegrate (4 charges), Dominate Monster (5 charges), or Eyebite (4 charges). Additionally, you learn the Blink and Rewrite History spells, and may cast them once per dusk each as an Action without using a spell slot. The eye regains 1d4 + 5 expended charges daily at dusk. Each time you cast a spell from the Eye, there is a 5 percent chance that Vecna tears your soul from your body, devours it, and then takes control of the body like a puppet. If that happens, you become an NPC under the DM's control.
Seeker in Darkness: If you commit yourself fully to the advancement of Vecna's goals and priorities for a sufficient period of time (DM's discretion, no less than 30 days), your mastery over the Eye improves. You gain the ability to cast all the Don't Blink spells as Bonus Action without any components. Furthermore, you can cast Blink and Rewrite History an additional time per dusk. The Eye's spell save DCs become your Spell Save DC, if higher.
Corpsetaker: Once per dusk, the first time you would drop to 0 hit points as a result of taking damage or are subjected to an effect that would kill you instantaneously without dealing damage, you may attempt to with a target creature within 15ft. The Eye forcefully ejects itself from your body and attempts to burrow into the target's body. The target must make a DC 19 Charisma Saving Throw. On a failed save, you swap bodies with the target and now possess the target's body, as the Magic Jar spell, and remain attuned to the Eye. Meanwhile, the target's soul is placed into your body, is reduced to 0 hit points, and is dying (regardless of what effect triggered this ability). On a successful save, the creature suffers no ill effects and may catch the Eye, your attunement to the Eye ends, and you die. A creature immune to possession or warded against similar effects described by the Magic Jar spell automatically succeeds on the saving throw. This effect lasts until dispelled. If you remain in the target's body for a sufficient time (determined by the DM, but no less than 30 days), this effect becomes permanent and may no longer be dispelled, except by the effect of the Wish spell, divine intervention, or by killing you and resurrecting the original target's soul (if they are dead) into its original body.
